About Me
From Real World to Reel World
Chris’s journey to the world of voice acting began a long time ago. He began his adult life in the US Army as a Military Police Officer. His skills in observation made aided him in his duties but it also had an interesting side effect. He was able to mimic others and use impressions and voices to lighten sometimes dark times during deployments overseas.
After leaving the military, he entered the “real world,” the civilian world. This led to many opportunities in many different fields. Over the course of the next 20 years he gained experience in sales, security, veterinary science, hospitality, construction, and finally education. He attended West Virginia University and earned a Bachelors degree in Animal and Nutritional Science and a Master’s degree in Special Education. He currently is currently a high school teacher at his alma mater in his home town.
What does one do with all of this education and experience in so many different fields? Chris decided to apply it to the classroom and the vocal booth. He uses his experience to lend credibility and authenticity to his lessons and his reads.
Chris’s voice over repertoire is as diverse as his background. From commercial and corporate narration to character voices for video games and animation, Chris’s adaptability is his strength. His real-life experiences lend an added layer of authenticity to his performances, making them not just believable, but relatable.
